ABU DHABI – Fenerbahce Beko reached the championship game of the Final Four 2025 of the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague with Errick McCollum contributing ten points, including a clutch three-pointer with just over one minute left in the fourth quarter of a meeting with Panathinaikos Aktor.
His younger brother and NBA player, CJ McCollum, was in attendance in Abu Dhabi’s Etihad Arena to support Fener and especially the 37-year-old point guard.
“He is my best friend, him and my wife,” mentioned Errick in a postgame press conference, following a win against the defending champions on Friday, “A lot of times, because of our career paths, we haven’t always been able to be there physically, but we were always there for each other mentally, whether that’s calling or giving advice, offensively, defensively, things you see. So, having him here in the flesh is like an escape.”
“My coach talks about unplugging and being away from basketball for a second. And I think your family is a perfect distraction for that,” he added, referring to advice from head coach Sarunas Jasikevicius, “You have dinner tonight and tomorrow you get back to work.”

With CJ and his family on his side, the experienced floor general and Fenerbahce will play for the second EuroLeague championship in team history on Sunday. The winner of the other semifinal clash, Olympiacos or AS Monaco, will be the next opponent for the team based in Istanbul.
