Panathinaikos won’t be contending for the EuroLeague title as they lost to Fenerbahce in the Semi-Finals in Abu Dhabi, and the Greek powerhouse is already planning for the following years.
Among the most interesting players on the market, there will surely be TJ Shorts, who has stolen the show with Paris Basketball in his first season of the EuroLeague, being named into the All-EuroLeague First Team.
Conceding an interview to Mozzart Sport during the EuroLeague Final Four, Panathinaikos‘ sports director Sani Becirovic revealed the interest from the Greek powerhouse for the American-North Macedonian exciting point guard.
“There are many interested clubs, not just us. He is the type of player everyone wants. We had the opportunity to present our plan to him, and we talked, but it’s up to him to decide,” he said.
Moving to Paris after dominating in the Basketball Champions League with Telekom Baskets Bonn, TJ Shorts was already named EuroCup Regular Season and Finals MVP in 2023-24.
