The number of European players returning from the NBA to Europe to keep on making a name for themselves at the highest stages is increasing as time passes by.

This summer, another European star could make his return home, playing once again in the EuroLeague. It’s the case of Vasilije Micic, who has struggled to find playing minutes in the NBA and could seek a return where he once was one of the best players in the league.

According to Meridian Sport, Real Madrid has entered the race for the 31-year-old Serbian guard, who last played in Europe with Anadolu Efes, with whom he won back-to-back EuroLeague titles.

In his two years in the NBA, playing with the Oklahoma City Thunder, the Charlotte Hornets, and the Phoenix Suns, the Serbian guard has put up 6.8 points, 3.9 assists, and 1.8 rebounds per game.

In Europe, Vasilije Micic also played for Mega, Bayern Munich, Crvena Zvezda, Tofas Bursa, Zalgiris Kaunas, and ultimately Anadolu Efes – being named EuroLeague MVP in 2020-21, and Final Four MVP in consecutive fashion between 2020-21 and 2021-22.
