Paris Basketball has announced that renowned French actor Omar Sy is joining the club as a co-owner, alongside president David Kahn and Eric Schwartz.
Known for his roles in Lupin and The Intouchables, Sy is a longtime basketball fan and has attended several Paris games, including their EuroLeague debut against Baskonia.
His arrival marks a strategic move for the club, which impressed in its first EuroLeague season and is now competing in the Betclic Élite semifinals. Sy will also serve as a cultural advisor, helping expand the club’s reach in France and internationally, as reported by L’Equipe.
“This is not just a symbolic role,” said president Kahn. “From the start, Omar wanted to be fully involved in the development and visibility of the club.”
