Jabari Parker and FC Barcelona have mutually agreed on an early termination of their contract.
Barca announced the departure of the 30-year-old forward on Monday.
Per the press release: “FC Barcelona and Jabari Parker have reached an agreement to terminate the player’s contract, which was originally set to run until 30 June 2026.
The club would like to thank the player for his professionalism and commitment, and wishes him the best of luck in the future, both personally and in his sporting career.
At the end of the season, both parties carried out a joint assessment and agreed to part ways, allowing the player to leave amicably. Jabari Parker will always be welcome back at the Palau Blaugrana.”
Over two years with the Catalonia giant in Europe’s premier club continental competition, he averaged 12.2 points, 4.1 rebounds, 1.2 assists, 0.7 steals, and 0.3 blocks per contest, including 13.8 points, 4.0 rebounds, 1.7 assists, and 0.8 steals per game over 39 appearances in the 2024-25 edition of the EuroLeague. Overall, he played in 77 games.
Back in 2014, the Chicago native was selected with the second overall pick of the annual NBA draft, coming out of Duke. In the league based in North America, he logged 321 games played, including 11 in the 2018 and 2021 Playoffs with the Milwaukee Bucks and Boston Celtics. After being waived by the Celtics midway through the 2021-22 journey, he resumed his career overseas, joining Barcelona at the top of the 2023-24 season.
