Panathinaikos officially added Vassilis Toliopoulos to the roster.

The 29-year-old combo guard inked a three-year contract, the team announced on Monday, confirming a Eurohoops report about the deal.

“I’m extremely happy to now be part of Panathinaikos. It’s something I’ve wanted to achieve for a long time—to reach the top level of the EuroLeague and compete against the very best. So, when I was informed of Panathinaikos’ interest and offer, I didn’t think twice. It was something I truly wanted to happen,” Toliopoulos explained his decision to move from Aris Midea to the Greens.

After playing in 15 Turkish Airlines EuroLeague games with Olympiacos, earlier in his career, the native of Athens logged 32 appearances in the BKT EuroCup with Aris over the last two seasons, including 13.7 points, 2.5 assists, 2.0 rebounds, and 1.0 steals per contest over 15 appearances in the 2024-25 edition of the second-tier club continental competition of Euroleague Basketball.

“I want to establish myself at this level, contribute to the team’s success, and help win titles. When you play for Panathinaikos, you know that titles are the only thing that matters,” the Greek guard said about signing a three-year contract with Panathinaikos to return to Europe’s premier club continental competition.

Toliopoulos, a former League and Cup champion in Greece with Olympiacos and AEK, respectively, is the first official offseason addition to the team coached by Ergin Ataman, heading to the 2025-26 installments of the EuroLeague and domestic competitions in Greece.
