The negotiations between Will Clyburn and Barcelona have already turned into a saga, as the American forward still hasn’t found an agreement with the Catalan team, according to Eurohoops sources.
Earlier today, Spanish journalist Chema de Lucas reported on a done deal between the 35-year-old American forward (2.01m) and Barcelona after one season with Virtus Bologna.
Eurohoops had previously reported that negotiations were underway between the two sides, with Óscar Herreros being the first to reveal the interest; however, a significant financial gap existed at the time.
While Chema de Lucas reported that the deal was finalized, there’s still uncertainty, as the deal is not done yet, according to Eurohoops sources.
If the signing is confirmed, Barcelona will have secured both of Virtus Bologna’s top stars, having already struck a deal with Tornike Shengelia earlier this summer.
Clyburn appeared in 24 of Virtus’ 34 EuroLeague games last season, dealing with multiple injuries, but still posted solid averages of 13.8 points, 4.7 rebounds, 2.4 assists, and 1.1 steals per game.
