Former Serbian national team center and NBA champion Ognjen Kuzmic has officially retired, as confirmed by his former club Crvena Zvezda.
Kuzmic (35) last played for FMP but ended the season prematurely after suffering an injury in February.
He began his professional career with Borac Banja Luka in 2007 and was drafted by the Golden State Warriors in 2012. He was part of the Warriors‘ 2015 NBA Championship team.
Following a brief NBA stint, Kuzmic went on to play for Panathinaikos, Crvena Zvezda, and Real Madrid, winning the EuroLeague with the Spanish club in 2018. He returned to Zvezda in 2019 and won multiple domestic titles before joining FMP in 2023.
In addition to his NBA and EuroLeague titles, Kuzmic won the ABA League three times, the Serbian League four times, four Serbian Cups, and a Greek Cup with Panathinaikos in 2016.
