Olympiacos‘ backcourt will change faces for the 2025-2026 season, as the first official departure from the red-and-white side was announced, with his new team welcoming him.
Zalgiris Kaunas officially announced the addition of Nigel Williams-Goss, who signed a 2+1 contract with the Lithuanian team, recently crowned Champions of the LKL.
Paulius Jankunas welcomed the American guard. “The conversation with Nigel started early and lasted quite a while. We communicated a lot and told him how we see him in our team and what our vision is for the upcoming season,” the club’s president said.
“From the first conversation, you could feel the respect he had for the organization, for all the attention we showed him. He liked it, and he appreciates our organization. Conversation after conversation, we managed to convince and persuade him. I think that’s the level of player we were missing,” he added.
In the 2024-25 EuroLeague season, reaching the Final Four in Abu Dhabi but losing to AS Monaco in the Semi-Finals, the former Real Madrid player has been averaging 8.6 points and 3.4 assists per game
