Virtus Bologna has officially announced the contract renewal of Brandon Taylor, who will continue with the club after a strong showing in the final stretch of the 2024–25 season.
Taylor joined Virtus in mid-May, just in time for the playoffs, and quickly became a key piece in coach Duško Ivanović’s rotation. He made an immediate impact, helping the team past Milano in the semifinals with solid performances, including 12 points and 7 assists in Game 3 and another all-around effort in Game 4.
In the finals against Brescia, Taylor elevated his game further. He played a decisive role in Game 3, scoring 19 points and dishing out 6 assists to seal Virtus Bologna’s 17th Italian championship.
His blend of offensive creativity, game management, and defensive effort impressed the club, and he’ll be counted on again next season to help lead the team.
“To all Virtussini, I hope you are enjoying your summer and are still celebrating the championship we brought home in the season that just ended. But the most important thing is that I’m coming back, I’m happy, I couldn’t be happier. Forza Virtus!” Taylor shared his excitement after the renewal.
Virtus Bologna already signed a new player for the upcoming season, adding Luca Vildoza to it’s ranks.
