Barcelona is reportedly targeting Lorenzo Brown as a key addition to its backcourt, according to Mundo Deportivo.
Following Jabari Parker and Justin Anderson’s departures, the club now has room to make several moves and is interested in adding Brown to its ranks.
The 34-year-old point guard could leave Panathinaikos after a quiet season, especially following the club’s signing of TJ Shorts. He averaged just 6.3 points and 2.7 assists in the EuroLeague and saw limited minutes late in the year under coach Ergin Ataman.
Despite his recent struggles, Barça sees Brown as a valuable short-term option. A natural playmaker with EuroLeague experience and a Spanish passport, he helped Spain win EuroBasket gold in 2022. The club is aiming for a one-year deal, hoping that a potential buyout from Panathinaikos will make the move financially possible.
If signed, Brown would fill a key need at point guard — a position where Barça lacked creativity last season due to injury problems.
