Noam Yaacov is moving on from Hapoel IBI Tel Aviv after one season with the Israeli club, on loan from LDLC ASVEL Villeurbanne.

The Reds announced his departure on Saturday.

In the 2024-25 journey, the young international player with Israel was crowned BKT EuroCup champion, helping his side clinch a berth in the 2025-26 installment of the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague. He tallied 2.8 points and 2.1 assists over eight appearances, including one start, in the second-tier club continental competition of Euroleague Basketball.

Born and raised in Denmark, he also spent a large chunk of his childhood in Israel. Developing his basketball talents led to signing a long-term deal with ASVEL in 2021, shortly before turning 17. With the French club, he suited up in 26 EuroLeague games during the 2023-24 journey, after previously representing the team in multiple Euroleague Basketball Adidas Next Generation Tournaments, now labeled as Adidas NextGen EuroLeague.

Midway through the 2022-23 campaign, he was loaned to Hapoel Bank Yahav Jerusalem and combined his first professional experience in Israel with winning the State Cup. Following his first run as a regular for the senior squad of ASVEL, he was loaned to Hapoel Shlomo Tel Aviv for the 2024-25 season.

During a successful career with the junior national teams of Israel, including a silver medal in the FIBA U20 European Championship 2023, he was promoted to the senior national team to play in the FIBA World Cup 2023 Qualifiers, and later bounced back in the EuroBasket 2025 Qualifiers. Furthermore, he was among the call-ups for the EuroBasket 2025.
