The big man moves from Turkey to Israel and Hapoel Tel Aviv

Hapoel Tel Aviv announced a big boost in their front line, by signing Tai Odiase.

Per the press release: “Hapoel  Tel Aviv basketball club is pleased to announce the signing of Nigerian-Puerto Rican center Tai Odiase (29, 2.06 m), who signed a two-year contract with the club (until the end of the 2026-27 season).

Odiase began his senior career with the Spanish Tenerife team, later playing for the Greek Lavrio, the German Göttingen and Oldenburg teams, the Ukrainian Prometheus team, and last season he played for the Turkish Bahçeşehir team.

Odiase was one of the most prominent centers in the Eurocup last season, with impressive averages of 12.7 points, 5.2 rebounds (2.4 offensive rebounds), 62.0% from two points, and 0.9 blocks in 26.5 minutes on the floor, leading his team. In the Turkish league, he recorded 10.4 points, 4.0 rebounds, 63.3% two-point shooting, and 0.9 blocks in 22.2 minutes. The center reached the semifinals of the Eurocup and the semifinals of the Turkish league with his team.
