Kevarrius Hayes inked a two-year contract to join AS Monaco, the team announced on Monday.
“I am thrilled to join Monaco and this organization,” said the 28-year-old center, “I know they are building a team to win the Euroleague, and I want to be part of that. I know the coach, players, and staff want nothing less.”
The former Florida standout is a veteran of 129 appearances in the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague, including 38 with Paris in the 2024-25 installment.
“The season in Paris was a true accomplishment for me, and the memories I made there will stay with me for the rest of my life,” the seasoned rim protector recapped the journey with the team based in the French capital, “I look forward to bringing the same energy to my new teammates and all my contributions on the court. I want to use what I know to help this group once again reach the Finals of the competitions they participate in.”
Coming out of Florida in 2019, Hayes focused his professional career in Europe, starting from Italy and Acqua S.Bernardo Cantu. Switching to LDLC ASVEL Villeurbanne for the 2020-21 season marked his introduction to the EuroLeague. After helping Frutti Extra Bursaspor progress to the Finals of the 2021-22 edition of the 7DAYS EuroCup, he returned to Europe’s premier club continental competition with Zalgiris for the next two years. Last season with Paris, he averaged 6.5 points, 4.6 rebounds, 1.0 steals, 0.8 blocks, and 0.5 assists per contest.
