Scottie Wilbekin inked a contract extension with Fenerbahce Beko.
The 32-year-old combo guard committed for the 2025-26 season with the contract having an option for the 2026-27 season, the team announced on Monday, confirming recent reports about a deal with the experienced playmaker.
Suffering a complete tear of his right anterior cruciate ligament in October forced him to miss the remainder of the 2024-25 season. He was hurt in the opening round of the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague Regular Season. Heading to the next edition of Europe’s premier club continental competition, he secured a contract extension, following up on a three-year deal signed in 2022.
In a long EuroLeague career, stretching back to the 2015-16 season, Wilbekin has logged 242 games played, including 67 with Fener. He previously suited up for Maccabi FOX / Playtika Tel Aviv from 2018 to 2022, and Darussafaka Dogus between 2015 and 2017. In the 7DAYS EuroCup with Dacka during the 2017-18 journey, he was crowned champion alongside individual awards as the Most Valuable Player of the season and the Finals. Late in the 2014-15 season, he started his European career with AEK.
After winning the EuroLeague, Turkiye Sigorta Basketbol Super Ligi, and ING Turkiye Kupasi during the 2024-25 expedition, the team coached by Sarunas Jasikevicius will be looking for more titles with the former Florida standout joining Wade Baldwin IV, Bonzie Colson, Devon Hall, Nigel Hayes-Davis, Nicolo Melli, and others on the list of players to return for the 2025-26 season.
