Paris Basketball has officially named Francesco Tabellini as their new head coach, succeeding Tiago Spliter on the bench.

The 41-year-old Italian coach arrives with a strong track record, having led Nymburk in the Czech Republic to multiple domestic titles and Basketball Champions League Quarter Finals, with an impressive overall record of 116 wins against 22 losses in all competitions.

Tabellini began his coaching career with Treviso Basket’s youth teams and worked as an assistant in Italy’s second division before moving to the Czech Republic. He took his first head coaching role with USK Prague in 2022 and then moved to Nymburk in 2023, where he achieved great success.

Paris Basketball is hoping that Tabellini can continue the momentum built by his predecessors, Tiago Splitter and Tuomas Iisalo, who led the team to historic achievements including reaching the EuroLeague Playoffs and winning French League and Cup titles.

This will be Tabellini’s first season coaching in the EuroLeague, and fans will be watching closely to see how he guides Paris in Europe’s top competition.
