Moving into the next editions of the EuroLeague and AdmiralBet ABA League, Zvezda has already officially added Tyson Carter, Ebuka Izundu, Stefan Miljenovic, Chima Moneke, and Semi Ojeleye during the offseason. Besides the arrival of the New York native, more roster adjustments are expected to be completed before the tip-off in the continental and regional leagues.
Nwora was released by the Istanbul-based club on Thursday, after averaging 7.6 points and 3.3 rebounds per contest over 37 appearances, including 15 starts, in his first season in Europe’s premier club continental competition. Last August, he signed a 1+1 contract, but the option was declined, resulting in his separation from his first overseas club.
Before expanding his career to the EuroLeague, he logged 219 appearances in the NBA, between the Milwaukee Bucks, Indiana Pacers, and Toronto Raptors. His rookie season, after completing his NCAA run with Louisville and being picked by the Bucks with the 45th selection of the 2020 draft, culminated in being crowned NBA champion.
Beyond the EuroLeague and the NBA, his career additionally features international action with Nigeria. He played in the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games and the FIBA World Cup 2019, and was capped in the World Cup 2019 Qualifiers as well.
