It appears that Dylan Osetkowski’s doping investigation saga may not be over

New Partizan Belgrade forward Dylan Osetkowski is once again under investigation by the Spanish Anti-Doping Agency (CELAD) according to multiple reports.

Osetkowski was reported to have been tested positive for marijuana during the 2023-24 season when he played for Unicaja Malaga in Spain, a violation for which he’d receive a one-year ban. After multiple appeals the process was greatly prolonged and was ultimately dismissed, something that Unicaja confirmed this June.

“The case for a positive test conducted last season has expired and therefore the proceedings were closed,” Malaga mentioned in a statement on June 5 and during the Spanish ACB playoffs.

This delay appears to be exactly the reason why the case is reopened. Per Diario Sur, CELAD considers Osetkowski’s situation “abnormal due to the length of the process” and the way it was resolved because of its expiration.

In a reaction to the news about the case being reopened, Osetkowski’s agent Dragan Jankovski tweeted that the American player “hasn’t been subjected to any fines, sanctions, or suspensions by any anti-doping agency globally, including those in Spain at any time in the past.”

An All-Basketball Champions League First Team player in 2025, Osetkowski officially joined Partizan Belgrade in late June to become the first signing of the Serbian powerhouse this offseason.
