With Sarunas Jasikevicius strengthening his position guiding Fenerbahce after a treble season, winning the EuroLeague, Turkish League, and Turkish Cup, the club has added one of his countrymen.
The former Lithuanian national team’s and Zalgiris Kaunas’ head coach, Kazys Maksvytis, became the yellow-and-blue powerhouse’s newest assistant coach.
He won’t have to make a first transition move to Turkiye, as he already coached in the country during the whole 2024-25 season, guiding Manisa in the TBSL and Basketball Champions League.

As already mentioned, Kazys Maksvytis already coached in the EuroLeague, dragging Zalgiris Kaunas in the 2022-23 season once his tenure with Lithuania (2021-24) already started.
It’s the first time in his professional career that he will serve as an assistant coach. Previously, he coached both in his native country with teams such as Aisciai Kaunas, Sakalai Vilnius, Neptunas Klaipeda, and Lietkabelis, and abroad.
Apart from this current role in Fenerbahce and Manisa’s experience, he also worked outside of Lithuania from 2019 to 2022, guiding Parma Perm in the VTB League.
