Some European cities may host EuroLeague games for the first time, according to Partizan’s plan

Partizan Belgrade is scheduling to host some of its EuroLeague games of the 2025-26 season outside Serbia, club president Ostoja Mijailovic revealed.

“I’d like to mention that we’re planning several projects for next season, to play some home games in other countries or cities that aren’t particularly popular basketball-wise, and we are somehow connected to them,” Mijailovic said to B92. “It will be a real spectacle for those cities, for Partizan, for our diaspora and for our fans.”

Partizan has had strong fan presence in some particular road games, like at Bayern Munich in Germany or Paris Basketball in France. There’s also notable Serbian diaspora in European countries such as Austria, Switzerland that aren’t really famed for their connection to basketball.

The latter two may be among what Mijailovic has in mind when he talks about places that aren’t known for basketball.

“We practically have four more games next year, since the Euroleague has been expanded from 18 to 20 clubs,” Mijailovic added. “We want to take advantage of that opportunity, and therefore at that time the Arena will be occupied due to some activities that were previously reserved, so that we would not play in Pionir and where we cannot accommodate such an audience.”

From 10 to 25 of January, Partizan’s Stark Arena will host the entirety of the 2026 European Polo Championship.

“We will take advantage of that opportunity, and we will create a project that no one has done before.”
