Giannoulis Larentzakis is set to sign a two-year contract extension with an option for a third additional season with Olympiacos, according to Eurohoops sources.
With talks extending following a key deadline on the previous deal with the Reds, the 31-year-old shooting guard agreed on a new 2+1 contract to extend his stay with the Greek club.
After presenting an offer with reduced wages and reaching a deal with the native of Athens, Olympiacos is expected to soon officially confirm the contract extension until the end of the 2026-27 season with an option for the 2027-28 season.

A veteran of 150 EuroLeague games, his fifth campaign in Europe’s premier club continental competition produced 17 of those appearances, all with the Reds. He averaged 2.6 points, 1.4 rebounds, 1.2 assists, 0.2 steals, and 0.1 blocks per contest. In Greece’s Stoiximan GBL, he tallied 8.8 points, 2.4 assists, 2.0 rebounds, 0.9 steals, and 0.1 blocks per game over 25 appearances.
The team coached by Giorgos Bartzokas ranked first in the Regular Season of the 2024-25 installment of the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague and eliminated Real Madrid in four games to reach the Final Four, but settled third in the season-ending tournament. The domestic journey concluded with a championship, the third with Larentzakis on board.
Beyond the club level, his international career with Greece is highlighted by participation in the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, following earlier caps in the 2019 and 2023 editions of the FIBA World Cup, and the EuroBasket 2022.
