With Moustapha Fall out for many months and still the saga around Filip Petrusev not ultimately closed, Olympiacos decided to move on the market, reinforcing the center position.
Likely backing up Nikola Milutinov following Moses Wright’s departure to Zalgiris Kaunas, Donta Hall is heading to Piraeus on a three-year deal, according to Eurohoops sources.
Baskonia, where the player moved one summer ago, will be receiving a buyout of approximately 600.000 euros; the player, instead, should get 1.2 million in the first year, 1.4 million, and 1.5 million in the next two seasons.

Despite the amount of money coming from Piraeus, it still doesn’t look like Baskonia will match Valencia‘s offer for Darius Thompson, who is now set to join Pedro Martinez’s team.
In the 2024-25 EuroLeague campaign, the 27-year-old center put up 8.7 points and 5.4 rebounds per game. Baskonia, coached by Pablo Laso, couldn’t reach the postseason.
Prior to his move to the Basque Country, Donta Hall played with AS Monaco from 2021 to 2024 in the EuroLeague. Last year, he received the Azerbaijani citizenship to represent the country.
