After adding new pieces to Dusko Ivanovic’s roster, Virtus Bologna has entered a new era.
Around noon, the club’s president, Massimo Zanetti, presented at a press conference the new main and title sponsor for the black-and-white club for the 2025-26 LBA season.
Virtus Bologna will be sustained in the Italian league by Olidata, an Italian company leader in the sector of information and communication technology.
Moreover, it was also announced that Alessandro Pajola will replace Marco Belinelli as the team’s captain.
“Marco Belinelli will stay with us, we’re still thinking about his role and what he would like to do,” Zanetti touched on the Italian legend, set to retire.
“The new captain will be Alessandro Pajola: he’s the one with the most games played with us, he’s young but already a bit old,” Virtus Bologna’s president continued.
