After announcing several Nigerian arrivals, having brought in Chima Moneke, Semi Ojeleye, Jordan Nwora, and Ebuka Izundu, this time, Crvena Zvezda has added a bit of Cuban expertise.

The Serbian powerhouse has officially announced the addition of Jasiel Rivero, who’s leaving Maccabi Tel Aviv to strengthen Crvena Zvezda‘s frontcourt.

In the 2024-25 season with the yellow-and-blue side, he put up 10.2 points, 4.4 rebounds, and 1.3 assists per game, but Maccabi couldn’t reach the EuroLeague Play-Ins.

Staying with the Israeli side for two years, he previously played in the EuroLeague with Valencia during the 2022-23 season.

Jasiel Rivero is also a back-to-back Basketball Champions League winner with San Pablo Burgos in 2020 and 2021. On the Spanish side, he also won the 2021 FIBA Intercontinental Cup.

Apart from Rivero and the already mentioned players, Crvena Zvezda brought on board Tyson Carter, Ognen Radosic, and Stefan Miljenovic. Uros Plavsic returned from his loan at Besiktas.
