OAKA Basketball Arena has a very good chance to host the 2026 EuroLeague Final Four

After many twists and turns, which began in May, there’s a good chance that the host of the 2026 EuroLeague Final Four will be decided and announced on Wednesday (July 23), and a very slim chance that the vote will be postponed until September.

At this point, Athens and Belgrade are the only two candidates, while Valencia has withdrawn from consideration.

Additionally, Abu Dhabi, which hosts the 2025 event, has proven to be a financial success and will host the Final Four again in 2027 and 2029, unless something dramatic happens.

On the other hand, the Greek capital, which last hosted the Final Four in 2007, has made a strong push recently during the EHCB Coaches Congress, with the Mayor of the City and the Attica region governor meeting personally with EuroLeague CEO Dejan Bodiroga.

Of course, everything will be decided after the vote, but there are many indications that Athens’ bid can be successful.
