Olympiacos will extend the search for a guard after David Jones-Garcia turned the team down

NBA Summer League standout wing/guard David Jones-Garcia turned down an offer from EuroLeague powerhouse Olympiacos Piraeus to continue with the San Antonio Spurs according to Eurohoops sources.

Jones-Garcia, 23, was approached with a tempting offer by Olympiacos as the Reds were willing to give him a salary above 2 million per year. However, the Dominican player isn’t interested in moving to Europe.

During the 2025 NBA Summer League, Jones-Garcia  averaged 21.6 points (while shooting 52.9 percent from the 3-point line), 6.2 rebounds and 3.8 assists.

Olympiacos continues searching for a quality guard to add to their roster. So far in the offseason, the reigning Greek League champions have signed swingman Tyson Ward, centers Donta Hall and Kostas Antetokounmpo and Antonis Karagiannidis along with wing Omiros Netzipoglou.
