Rokas Jokubaitis confirmed that he’s leaving Maccabi Tel Aviv to join Bayern Munich and that the move should become official anytime soon.
“There are only formalities left,” Jokubaitis said per 15Min. “All things should’ve been made public but, so far, they haven’t. For security reasons and other considerations, everything remains undisclosed at the moment.”
Jokubaitis had signed a three-year deal with Maccabi during the 2024 offseason but the contract will be terminated early as the Lithuanian guard will be switching EuroLeague sides.
Earlier this summer, Maccabi refuted the reports that Jokubaitis will be exiting Maccabi, stating that the club is eager to see him in training camp ahead of 2025-26.
Last season in EuroLeague, Jokubaitis averaged career-highs 12.6 points, 4.6 assists and 3.2 rebounds with Maccabi. The 24-year-old playmaker had spent the previous three years with Barcelona.
Jokubaitis debuted in the EuroLeague with Zalgiris Kaunas in 2018. He spent three seasons with the Lithuanian powerhouse before he moved to Barca.
