After being linked to Real Madrid over recent weeks, Chuma Okeke officially joined Los Blancos on a two-year contract.
The deal was announced on Wednesday.
Per the press release: “Real Madrid C.F. has reached an agreement with Chuma Okeke, power forward from the Cleveland Cavaliers, whereby the player will be linked to the club for the next two seasons, until 30 June 2027.
Okeke comes to Real Madrid for his first experience in European basketball, after playing a total of 203 games in the NBA with the Orlando Magic, Philadelphia 76ers, and Cleveland Cavaliers.”

Last season, the newcomer for the team based in the Spanish capital played in 12 NBA games with the Cleveland Cavaliers and Orlando Magic, tallying 4.8 points, 4.3 rebounds, 1.5 assists, 0.5 steals, and 0.3 blocks per contest. He added 16.7 points, 8.4 rebounds, 4.9 assists, 1.5 steals, and 1.5 blocks per game over 45 appearances in the G League with the Westchester Knicks.
With Los Blancos, the 26-year-old forward will debut in the EuroLeague and Spain’s Liga Endesa, after splitting the 2024-25 journey between the Cavaliers and Magic, and an earlier spell with the Philadelphia 76ers. Back in 2019, he was the 15th pick of the NBA draft, coming out of Auburn.
Other players under contract with the team of new head coach Sergio Scariolo are Alberto Albalde, Facundo Campazzo, Gabriel Deck, Andres Feliz, Bruno Fernando, Usman Garuba, Mario Hezonja, David Kramer, Sergio Llull, Theo Maledon, Gabriele Procida, and Walter Tavares.
