After enjoying the supporters of Panathinaikos Aktor via video during an interview, Fred VanVleet would love to add a direct experience of the atmosphere during home games of the EuroLeague powerhouse in OAKA Altion.
“Wow,” he told CLUB 1908, an official link to the Greens, reacting to the video, “That’s incredible. What an atmosphere. It is the reason why they are good. They got the best fans. That’s crazy.”
“I got to make my way over here and see a game. It is incredible, just a special place to be, and this is a legendary place for basketball,” he added.
The 31-year-old combo guard of the Houston Rockets also discussed practicing at the home of Panathinaikos.
“It’s amazing. It’s a beautiful place. A beautiful arena. I would love to see it full of fans, but it is a great place to work out, the court is incredible, state-of-the-art,” he described, “It is one of the best facilities I have ever been in.”
VanVleet also mentioned his former teammate at the Toronto Raptors and current star of the Greek club, Juancho Hernangomez, besides opening up about his career in the NBA.
