Richaun Holmes is on the verge of continuing his career with Panathinaikos, with reports suggesting that the agreement between the two sides is about to be finalized.
As previously reported by Eurohoops, the 31-year-old American center had been weighing his options between staying in the NBA or making the move to the Greek powerhouse.
However, after failing to secure a guaranteed contract from any NBA team, Holmes has effectively decided to move forward with the process of joining Panathinaikos.
Over 10 seasons in the NBA, Holmes has appeared in 489 regular-season games with the Philadelphia 76ers, Phoenix Suns, Sacramento Kings, Dallas Mavericks, and Washington Wizards. He also played in three playoff games with the Sixers in 2018.
Throughout his NBA career, Holmes has averaged 8.5 points (75.1% free throws, 60.5% field goal shooting), 5.3 rebounds, 1 assist, and 0.9 blocks per game.
This past season with the Wizards, he posted averages of 7.4 points, 5.7 rebounds, and 1.4 assists in 31 games, playing around 17 minutes per contest.
