Panathinaikos Athens will be signing NBA big man Richaun Holmes to a two-year deal that includes an option for 2025-26. Michael Scotto of Hoopshype reported about the agreement which Eurohoops can confirm.
Holmes, 31, was waiting for a potential contract in the NBA but will ultimately move outside the league for the first time in his career. By signing with seven-time EuroLeague champion Panathinaikos he will join fellow former NBAers Kendrick Nunn and Jerian Grant.
A veteran of 492 NBA games, Holmes began his career with the Philadelphia 76ers in 2015 after being selected with the 37th overall pick. He also played for the Phoenix Suns, Sacramento Kings, Dallas Mavericks and the Washington Wizards.
In 2024-25, Holmes averaged 7.4 points, 5.7 rebounds in 31 games over 17.2 minutes.
