Maccabi Tel Aviv has officially signed Serbian swingman Uroš Trifunović to a two-year contract.
The 24-year-old, who can play both shooting guard and small forward positions, arrives from Turkish club Tofaş Bursa, where he impressed during the 2023–24 season.
“I am very happy to join such a historic club,” Trifunović said. “I thank everyone in the organization for their trust in me and I can’t wait for the moment when we get going.”
Trifunović averaged 11.4 points per game in the Turkish Super League, shooting nearly 40% from beyond the arc. In the FIBA Europe Cup, he posted 10.5 points, 2 rebounds, and 2.7 assists per game, with a 42.9% three-point shooting percentage.
A member of Serbia’s extended national team roster, Trifunović brings EuroLeague and ABA League experience, having previously played for Partizan Belgrade. He has made 11 appearances for the senior national team and was called up for the upcoming EuroBasket qualifiers.
Maccabi head coach Oded Kattash praised Trifunović’s versatility and shooting, noting that the addition adds depth and balance to the roster. General manager Claudio Coldebella called the signing a “perfect ending to a week of significant acquisitions,” highlighting the player’s strong work ethic and leadership potential.
Maccabi previously added Oshae Brissett, Lonnie Walker and Josh Dowtin Jr.
