Panathinaikos has reached a landmark five-year agreement with COSMOTE TELEKOM that will see the iconic OAKA Arena and its surrounding facilities renamed “TELEKOM CENTER Athens” until 2030.

According to the official announcement, the venue is set to become “one of the most important centers of sports and entertainment in Greece.” The rebranded TELEKOM CENTER Athens will include the fully renovated basketball arena, training facilities, auxiliary buildings, and surrounding areas, including Parking P5, which also hosts cultural events.

The space is envisioned as a multi-purpose entertainment hub: “a place for everyone—parents, families, students, and visitors of all ages—that will host major sports events, concerts, festivals, conferences, and cultural activities year-round.

Panagiotis Gavriilidis, Chief Commercial Officer Consumer Segment of OTE Group, underlined the company’s vision:
The investment in TELEKOM CENTER Athens reflects our strategic commitment to being where the heart of society beats: in sports, culture, and innovation. We deeply believe that sports and culture have the power to unite people, bridge differences, and create shared experiences.

The White Veil company, overseeing the broader OAKA redevelopment, added:
The five-year partnership with COSMOTE TELEKOM for the renaming of the Basketball Arena to TELEKOM CENTER Athens is part of the wider vision of Mr. D. Giannakopoulos, Panathinaikos BC AKTOR, and White Veil to transform the complex into a state-of-the-art hub of sports, entertainment, and digital experiences.

This move places Athens alongside other major global venues carrying the Telekom brand, such as the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, T-Mobile Center in Kansas City, and Telekom Dome in Bonn.
