According to Spanish outlet Encestando.es, Trey Lyles is Real Madrid‘s final offseason signing.
The Canadian-born free agent, who finished the season with the Sacramento Kings, is moving to Europe after 10 seasons in the NBA.
The 29-year-old power forward was picked by the Jazz at No. 12 back in 2015 and played also in Denver, San Antonio, and Detroit, before ending up in Sacramento.
In the Kings, he was a teammate of former EuroLeague MVP Sasha Vezenkov, competing for minutes with him. In a total of 650 NBA games, he was shooting 35% from beyond the arc and averaged 7.6 points.
Per Grant Afseth, the deal is for one season with a 3.2$ gross salary, while Lyles drew interest from Fenerbahçe and NBA teams, including the Sacramento Kings and Miami Heat, earlier this offseason.
