The 2025/26 EuroLeague season is about to start, and several clubs are dealing with setbacks.
Crvena Zvezda lost Isaiah Canaan for an extended period after the American guard suffered an ACL injury. However, that’s not the end of the problems for the Belgrade side.
Ahead of the season opener against Olimpia Milano at Belgrade Arena (30/09), coach Ioannis Sfairopoulos revealed he won’t be able to count on Ognjen Dobrić, Uroš Plavšić, and Devonte’ Graham either.
“Devonte’ Graham has a bone bruise and will be sidelined for a few more days. We’re not sure exactly. Uroš Plavšić twisted his ankle in the last practice and will also miss the game. And Ognjen Dobrić has the same problem he had with the national team at the end of the summer. His back hurts. He’s not ready to play,” Sfairopoulos said.
He also added that Canaan could be heading back to the U.S..
“Canaan will probably go to States to have a surgery.”
