It was all smiles in Fenerbahce‘s opener, as he 2024-25 Euroleague champs started the new season with a solid win against Paris Basketball (96-77).

The night was so perfect that even the newest star shone bright.

Talen Horton-Tucker played his first-ever Euroleague game and wasted no time in leaving a mark, finishing the night with 20 points, a standing ovation from the Turkish crowd, and a hug from Saras Jasikevicius.

Devon Hall (22 points) and Wade Baldwin (10 points and 10 assists) joined him in the scoring double digits, but that was no problem for the home team as the victory was never in doubt.

Nadir Hifi had 23 points with some trademark crazy shots, but only Justin Robinson (17 points) showed up to help him, and the French team was never close to getting the road W.

Easy ending

Things were easy for the host after the third quarter, with Nicolo Melli making back-to-back threes to give Fenerbache a 70-59 lead. It all went downhill from that for the guests.

Paris, which had managed to close the gap to five points (64-59), couldn’t react after that and can still keep a solid first hald which ended with Fenerbahce up by three (43-40).
