Real Madrid completed a huge and tough comeback against Olympiacos (89-77) to win their first game of the season (1-1).

In a tied match until the end, Scariolo’s team was brave enough to look face-to-face with one of the greatest teams in Europe.

Mario Hezonja was great (16 points) and led the team in scoring.

For Olympiacos, Tyler Dorsey scored 20 points, 16 of them in the first quarter.  Sasha Vezenkov (13) and Evan Fournier (14) didn’t have their best night. Both teams are now 1-1 after 2 games.

Llull kept Madrid alive

With 16 points in less than ten minutes, Dorsey led Olympiacos‘ dominance in the first quarter (19-29). Veteran leader Sergio Llull was the key coming off the bench, changing the rhythm and giving Scariolo’s team good minutes to keep it alive before halftime (47-53).

Madrid finally tied the score at 57, midway through the third period. The momentum changed, the hosts got the advantage, and Olympiacos suddenly couldn’t react.
