Real Madrid gets its third win in a row and second in Euroleague (2-1) after a solid performance against ASVEL (85-72) which dropped to 1-2.
Chuma Okeke had his best match with Real Madrid (17 points), and it was a good opportunity for the bench to showcase its talent.
Mario Hezonja (11 p.) and Trey Lyles (12 p.) were crucial on the offensive end. ASVEL’s veteran Edwin Jackson led his team in scoring with 16 points.
Real Madrid started the game dominating from the three-point line. Scariolo’s team also had a good rhythm on defense and forced ASVEL to turnovers, as Madrid got a 27-19 lead after the first period and an 11-point advantage at halftime (48-37).
After the break, ASVEL tried to turn things around, pressuring all over the court, but Okeke couldn’t miss from beyond the arc, and Real entered the fourth quarter with a solid 66-53 in its favor.
The hosts kept things under control and Scariolo’s team secured the win without drama, preparing for the next game against Partizan.
