Partizan is now 2 for 2 in home games in the EuroLeague. The Belgrade giant defeated Anadolu Efes in front of a fantastic atmosphere in the Arena, with a brilliant performance by Sterling Brown, who scored 24 points.
After the game, Partizan’s head coach Zeljko Obradovic gave a statement at the press conference, where he also spoke about the possibility of the Serbian champion soon signing a new center.
“We are looking for a player, I’ve been saying that all summer. The reason is only injuries, the season is long, so because of injuries we need one. Otherwise, I am satisfied with the team. The market is open until March. You can’t know how the season will go. Last season, the average number of injured players was 2.5 per team. We are only interested in a tall player if we find someone who can help us.”
“We are living in a time where everyone comments, fans also, there are shows on television, podcasts, everyone knows everything about basketball and who the favorites are,” Obradovic added. “At the end of the game, everyone knows the reasons for victory or defeat. All those who know, I don’t see them coming to sit on the teams’ benches. Also they had some opportunities to work and we saw how much they know. We would probably end up in Palmoticeva [mental hospital] if we were to deal with the stories of those people.”
After three rounds, Partizan stands at 2-1, and they also began their ABA league campaign triumphantly, winning on Monday against Krka (86-81).
