Real Madrid prevailed against Partizan (93-86), keeps improving, and coach Sergio Scariolo’s team is now 3-1 in the Euroleague, being more and more its real self.
Thanks to Edy Tavares’s strength in the paint, who had 19 points, and Trey Lyles’s class, who added 17, the “Whites” were never in danger.
The halftime score was 52-33, and after that, Partizan couldn’t do much.
Chuma Okeke was great also from beyond the arc with 14 points on four threes, and Theo Maledon returned to action.
On the other side, only Jabari Parker (23 p.) and Duane Washington (11 p.) had good minutes at Movistar Arena as Partizan dropped to 2-2.
Madrid got the 24-12 lead from the first period and never looked back. Partizan tried to react in the second half; however, at the end of the third quarter, Real was up by 19 (75-56).
Partizan ultimately made it a four-point game (86-82) after a 21-6 run, but couldn’t get any closer as Maledon answered back with a three (89-82) entering the last minute, and the game was over.
