Partizan couldn’t get the win in Madrid. But the second game on Spanish soil had a very different ending.

The Serbian team escaped from Buesa Arena with the victory after defeating Baskonia 91-79.

Carlik Jones dominated the floor (18 p. 10 a.), with Tyrique Jones (10 p. 7 r.) and Duane Washington (17 p. 3 r. 3 a.) as his best partners in crime.

Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot (19 p. 4 r. 4 as.) and Hamidou Diallo (20 p.) did everything they could for Baskonia, which was missing Markus Howard and Trent Forrest due to injuries.

After a very tight battle in the first half (48-40), it looked like Partizan got control of the game. Obradovic‘s team played even better in the third quarter, extending the lead to sixteen points (63-47) and making the local fans get to the verge of giving up.

But Baskonia reacted like it has done so many times to tie the game in the fourth quarter. In just a blink, the game was tied 66-66, with Diallo and Luwawu-Cabarrot putting Baskonia on their shoulders.

However, in the end, Duane Washington scored eight consecutive points to put the 89-79 on the scoreboard and seal the deal.
