Carlik Jones will miss approximately three months due to a left ankle injury, according to Mozzart Sport.
The 27-year-old guard of Partizan Mozzart Bet was forced to an early exit on Monday evening, in Round 4 of the AdmiralBet ABA League Regular Season, opposite FMP in Belgrade Arena. After tallying nine points, six assists, and four rebounds over 21 minutes, he picked up the injury in the fourth quarter. Dealing with severe pain and unable to put weight on his left foot, he was carried to the locker room by members of the coaching staff.
After leaving the gym on crutches and wearing a protective boot, medical tests found a fracture of the fifth metatarsal bone, connecting to the ankle. According to the projected timeline, he will sit out the remainder of the calendar year, but he can be ready to return to action down the stretch of the 2025-26 schedule.
With Shake Milton also dealing with an ankle injury, but expected to be medically cleared much sooner, the Belgrade outfit is likely to scan the market for an additional backcourt option. In Round 6 of the EuroLeague Regular Season, opposite Paris in Belgrade Arena on Friday, only Duane Washington Jr., Sterling Brown, and youngster Mitar Bosnjakovic are available for head coach Zeljko Obradovic.
Looking to build on a 3-2 start in Europe’s premier club continental competition, Partizan’s injury list extends to Mario Nakic, who is in knee surgery rehab from the top of the season.
