Crvena Zvezda defeated Baskonia at home in the sixth round of the EuroLeague (90-72), but that’s not the only good news for the club’s fans.
Earlier in the day, the arrival of Jared Butler, a player with NBA experience, was made official. He is expected to bring additional quality to the team.
After the game against Baskonia, Zvezda’s coach Sasa Obradovic also spoke about Butler.
“I expect there will certainly be a period of adaptation. It’s good that we have another winner; I spoke with him when he was supposed to come to motivate him. I think he’s an excellent player; he’s excited and eager to secure a good position in this team, which he deserves with his rating. I’m sure he will make a difference for us.”
It is still unknown when Butler will make his debut, but it is expected to be next Tuesday when Zvezda will play against ASVEL in Belgrade.
