Bayern Munich didn’t get much from its new star but got a key win

Spencer Dinwiddie had six points and just one made shot in his first EuroLeague game; However, Bayern Munich didn’t have a problem.

The Germans got the 86-70 win, their second in the week, improving to 4-4, while Virtus Bologna lost two games in two days and also has a 4-4 record.

Andreas Obst (photo), with 21 points, was the top scorer of the winners, Isiaha Mike with 17 was the key, while Carsen Edwards returned to play against his former team and finished the night with 16 points.

The hosts opened the game leading 18-15 and closed the halftime also up by three (41-38).

Virtus got a 42-41 lead to start the second half, led by five (51-46) after a three by Alen Smailagic and a shot by Edwards, but Bayern closed the period up by six (61-56) thanks to two free throws by Dinwiddie.

Bayern got a seven-point cushion (68-61) with five straight points by Justinian Jessup, and there was no coming back for the Italians after that. Bayern led by 19 (84-65) after a three by Andreas Obst and the game was over.
