Crvena Zvezda achieved its sixth consecutive EuroLeague win, and eighth straight overall, by defeating Maccabi 99-92 in Belgrade.
Codi Miller-McIntyre led the visiting team with an outstanding performance, finishing with 23 points and 11 assists, while Chima Moneke added 16 points, Ebuka Izundu contributed 15, including key baskets in crucial moments, and Donatas Motiejunas had 11.
Jared Butler made his debut for Zvezda but played just over two minutes.
On the other side, Jaylen Hoard was Maccabi’s top scorer with 20 points, two more than Lonnie Walker.
The game was a spectacle in Belgrade, filled with drama and tension from the start. Zvezda at times held a double-digit lead, but Maccabi managed to come back and the outcome was decided in the final minute. Zvezda handled the pressure better, and after a three-pointer by Ognjen Dobric, it became clear the Serbian team would celebrate again (97-89).
With this victory, Zvezda’s EuroLeague record improved to 6-2, and their next game is against Panathinaikos. Maccabi, now with two wins and six losses, will face Monaco next week.
