Nobody really counted on Baskonia to get a perfect double-action week, but they did exactly that.
The Spanish team defeated Anadolu Efes (86-75) and got its second win in the EuroLeague.
Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot (20 p.) and Matteo Spagnolo (19 p.) were Baskonia‘s top scorers, as coach Galbiati’s team has a 2-6 record, trying to fix the bad start of the season.
Shane Larkin put on a show in Vitoria with 23 points, but his effort wasn’t enough to return to Turkey with a win. Nick Weiler-Babb also had a good game with 16 points, but Efes has to settle for a 3-5 record.
Baskonia started the game leading 22-11; however, Efes trailed by four (43-39) at the end of the first half.
Still, Baskonia entered the last quarter leading 65-58, extended their advantage to 11 points (86-75), and the game was over.
