Tomer Ginat suffered a sprained shoulder joint in the third quarter of Hapoel IBI Tel Aviv’s meeting with Maccabi Ra’anana in Metrowest, the team announced on Monday.
Following his early exit from Round 4 of the 2025-26 Winner League Regular Season, the 30-year-old Israeli power forward is expected to be sidelined for several weeks. Lasting nearly 20 minutes on Sunday, he had ten points, seven rebounds, two assists, and one steal.
With the team coached by Dimitris Itoudis switching to Round 9 of the EuroLeague Regular Season, following an 89-72 win at Ra’anana, Ginat did not make the trip to Sofia. With his side preparing to face Dubai in Sarajevo’s Zetra Arena on Thursday, he stayed in Israel to start rehab.
In the final stages of surgery recovery, Yam Madar and Bruno Caboclo are expected to return to action in the next few weeks, similar to Oz Blayzer, a more recent addition to the injury list due to an ankle setback.
Due to roster restrictions, Antonio Blakeney, Chris Jones, Collin Malcolm, Vasilije Micic, and Daniel Oturu were also left out of the lineup for the latest domestic game.
