Crvena Zvezda Meridianbet remains one of the hottest teams of the EuroLeague and proved it beyond any doubt against Panathinaikos.

The Serbs beat the Greeks with ease as the final 86-68 indicates, improving their record to 7-2, while the Athenian club dropped to 5-4.

Codi Millet-McIntyre, with 14 points, nine rebounds, and seven assists, led a balanced team effort for the winners, who missed Jordan Nwora, but that ended up being a footnote.

Kostas Sloukas with 16 points, Cedi Osman with 14, and Nikos Rogkavopoulos with 12 were the only scorers in double digits for the guests.

Kendrick Nunn scored six points, made seven turnovers due to the suffocating defense of Zvezda, and fouled out nine minutes before the end of the game.

Ioannis Kouzeloglou, who contributed two rebounds, was the only real center remaining healthy on the roster, as Panathinaikos is missing Mathias Lessort, Richaun Holmes, and Omer Yurtseven, and that proved to be a huge issue.

Zvezda opened the game leading 20-12 after the first period and extended the lead to 21 points (38-17), while Panathinaikos had made just one out of 14 three-pointer attempts.

The halftime score was 46-32, with the Greeks fighting back with four threes for a total of five made in 20 attempts after 20 minutes of action, but the distance was still 14 points.

Zvezda opened the second half with four quick points (50-32), and at the end of the third period, the score was 67-40. Panathinaikos managed to trim the final point difference, but still never got into striking distance.
