Kenneth Faried is the big man who will help cover the absences of Panathinaikos in the front line.
Per Eurohoops sources, Faried is finalizing a deal with the Greens until the end of the season, and the Greek club has already bought out his contract with TSG GhostHawks from Taiwan.
The “Manimal” returns to Europe after playing last season in Reggio Emilia and in the past for CSKA Moscow.
Faried was selected 22nd overall in the 2011 NBA draft by the Denver Nuggets and played for the United States national team at the 2014 FIBA Basketball World Cup, where he won a gold medal and was named to the All-Tournament Team.
He last played in the NBA in 2019, but he remains active. The 35-year-old center has 478 NBA games under his belt and 18 in the playoffs.
His addition was more than necessary for Panathinaikos, currently missing Mathias Lessort, Richaun Holmes, and Omer Yurtseven due to injuries, having Ioannis Kouzeloglou as the only real center in the roster.
