Anadolu Efes ruled out PJ Dozier Jr. for four to six weeks due to a second-degree tear in the right thigh.

The update on the 29-year-old winger was announced on Monday, following his injury in domestic action on Sunday.

The rehab process started immediately, as noted.

Dozier was hurt during Round 7 of the 2025-26 Turkiye Sigorta Basketbol Super Ligi Regular Season, against Besiktas Gain in Istanbul’s BJK Gain Arena. He lasted 15:47, putting up ten points, two assists, and two rebounds for the team coached by Igor Kokoskov.

With Rodrigue Beaubois (left elbow surgery), Giorgos Papagiannis (left knee surgery), and Vincent Poirier (knee surgery) already sidelined, the latest addition to the injury list precedes the next two-game week of Europe’s premier club competition. Specifically, Efes visits Virtus Bologna at PalaDozza on Tuesday and hosts FC Bayern Munich at Antalya Sports Hall on Friday, moving to Rounds 10 and 11, after starting the season with three wins in nine outings.

Taking his talents to the Istanbul outfit last January, Dozier penned a two-year contract extension in June. From the top of the new campaign, he averaged 10.0 points, 2.6 rebounds, 2.1 assists, 1.0 steals, and 0.1 blocks per contest over seven EuroLeague appearances. At the domestic level, he tallied 12.0 points, 4.0 assists, 3.0 rebounds, and 1.3 steals per contest over four appearances.

Besides a total of 58 EuroLeague features between Efes and Partizan Mozzart Bet, the South Carolina product has also played in 145 NBA games with the Denver Nuggets, Sacramento Kings, Minnesota Timberwolves, Boston Celtics, and Oklahoma City Thunder.
